First Aid Training Opportunities:
While our online resources provide valuable information, hands-on training is crucial for building confidence and competence in administering first aid to children. St John Ambulance Cymru offers a variety of courses tailored to those caring for young ones:
-
Paediatric First Aid Course: A comprehensive 12-hour course designed for individuals responsible for the care of infants and children, covering a wide range of emergency scenarios. Our paediatric first aid training is recommended for childcare professionals by the National Childminding Association. It covers all the required first aid elements to register under the Childcare Approval Scheme. It can also be used for people working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education
By enrolling in these courses, you can gain practical experience and be better prepared to handle emergencies involving children.
Be Prepared:
Having a well-stocked first aid kit and knowing how to use its contents can make a significant difference in an emergency. Ensure your kit includes child-specific items and familiarize yourself with their proper use.
