Great Wall of China Trek
Embrace a new challenge and support our lifesaving mission! Join us in May 2026 for an unforgettable adventure!
The Great Wall of China is undeniably one of the world’s most iconic landmarks. Our Great Wall of China Trek will allow you to experience the best of this magnificent structure, exploring both the beautifully restored sections and ancient stretches in quieter areas.
May is an ideal time to visit China, as Spring brings mild, comfortable temperatures, lush and vibrant landscapes, blooming flowers and the chance to avoid the extreme temperatures and larger crowds of Summer and Winter.
You’ll begin this unforgettable adventure at the breathtaking Old Dragon’s Head, where this iconic structure meets the sea. Experience the majestic First Pass Under Heaven and hike through beautifully preserved sections of the wall, including the stunning vistas of Huangyaguan and Jinshanling.
As you trek through lush forests and rugged mountains, you’ll encounter spectacular panoramas of towering sandstone pillars and serene valleys. Enjoy local hospitality in charming guesthouses and savour traditional meals, all while immersing yourself in the rich history and culture of this remarkable region.
At the end of your trek, you’ll have the delightful choice of descending from Mutianyu via a scenic cable car or a thrilling toboggan ride back to the village, where you can explore local markets for souvenirs. Conclude your journey with a guided tour of Beijing, including the famous Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square and indulge in a celebratory feast of Peking duck to commemorate your epic adventure!
