We offer a range of interactive and engaging free online first aid courses that you can take in your own time. The modules are designed to equip you with essential first aid knowledge and skills. Each course is crafted by our healthcare professionals to ensure accuracy and effectiveness. Accessible anytime, anywhere, our e-learning platform provides flexibility for learners of all backgrounds.
All our Free online Awareness sessions can be accessed in English or Welsh. Upon successful completion of our free online first aid courses, you will have the opportunity to download a St John Ambulance Cymru certificate as proof of your training.
What free online first aid courses can I access?
We currently provide three free online first aid courses:
Child & Infant Awareness - This course is suitable for parents, grandparents or anyone who works around children and infants who is looking to get a basic understanding of child and infant first aid awareness. In this course you will cover topics such as:
- The Primary Survey
- Emergency Call
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Resuscitation
First Aid Awareness - This e-learning course is designed for anyone with an interest in gaining knowledge around basic first aid awareness. In this course you will cover:
- The Primary Survey
- Emergency Call
- Recovery Position
- Choking
- Bleeding
- Resuscitation
Public Access Defib Awareness - This e-learning course is designed for anyone with an interest in gaining knowledge around how to access and use a public access defibrillator (AED) and the basic first aid skills needed to prepare a casualty. In this course you will cover:
- The Primary Survey
- Emergency Call
- Heart Attack
- Resuscitation
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
Why should I take one of these free online first aid courses?
It's great to have a basic level of first aid awareness so that you can be of support in an emergency. Taking a free online first aid course is a small investment of time that can have a big impact on your ability to respond effectively in emergency situations, potentially saving lives in the process.
